Cuckoo Clock Question?
I recently bought a hunter's cuckoo clock with the dancing people. It has three chain pulls and weights- I'm guessing, one for each of the qualities (the clock, the cuckoo bird, and the dancing people).
I have two questions..
1) How do I know which weight goes on which chain pull?
2) When the minute hand gets to about the 55-minute mark, the ticker stops working. Any help?
Hands are overlapping at that point; check for some seperation or there is a wire hanging up in a mechanism trip that is stopping the clock
Weights are trial and error. Heaviest should be the time; the motor functions should both be the same

Styles of Cuckoo Clocks Every clock had its own exclusive design, but specific simple styles emerged. By the mid 1800's, two styles predominated: the framed clock plus the railway house. The framed clock consisted of a wooden frame and painted inner section where the clock face would be attached. It was typically painted with Black Forest scenes and had the cuckoo situated within the upper section of the clock. The railway home design was shaped like a house and was usually decorated with grape vines, ivy, flowers, or animals.
