Early within the 17th Century a lot of years prior to clocks had been becoming carved in the Black Forest, Philipp Hainhofer (21 July 1578 - 1647)a merchant, banker, diplomat and art collector in Augsburg, wrote about a cuckoo clock which was owned by Prince Elector August von Sachsen. This is the first known description of a Cuckoo Clock. At that time Europe was inside the middle of a weather phenomenon referred to as the "Little Ice Age" which brought incredibly cold temperatures within the winter. Athanasius Kircher was a 17th century German Jesuit scholar (1650). In his handbook on music Athanasiius described a mechanical organ that had quite a few automated figures such as a mechanical cuckoo. This book, was the first to document in words and photos the mechanical workings of the cuckoo clock. It goes on to describe how the mechanical cuckoo can automatically open it is beak while at the exact same time the cuckoo can move both the wings and also the tail. As the beak opens and closes 1 hears the call of the cuckoo. Inside the clock are two organ pipes that are responsible for making the call of the cuckoo. Cuckoo Clocks: A Brief History; Until the early 1600's, time telling devises in Germany consisted of sundials and hourglasses. All of that changed in 1630, when a man named Franz Kettler from Triberg, Germany went to what is now the Czech Republic, and brought back the notion of a clock. It was a easy style, referred to as a wooden beam clock, and had wooden gears and stones as weights. Soon, clock generating became a source of pride, and supplied occupation throughout winter months. A unique group called the Hauslers developed. These men had been the younger sons of land owners, and employed clock creating as an additional source of income.

my dog is vomiting, has diarrea and is shivering and i dont know what could be wrong with him no blood in poop
im up at 4 o'clock in the morning because my dog isnt feeling good and i have no idea whats wrong with him we were asleep and he sleeps with me and he started to make that noise before they throw up and then he threw up on the floor, then i took him into the bathroom and he pooped all on the wall (diarrea) no blood was in it and hes shivering alot.
do you have an emergency vet open? if not i'd take him to a vet first thing tomorrow morning if it doesn't look like he's fully recovered. unfortunately there aren't too many vets on yahoo answers and it's difficult to diagnose without visually seeing the dog. it is my guess that your dog has ate something that's toxic too him. could be chemicals, could be sugar, chocolate, onions, grapes/raisins, cat food.. a non-eatable product.. dunno.. he could also be sick from a disease or something.
for now just keep your dog warm and comfort him, please contact a vet for proper care. very sorry this happened
goodluck to you and your dog.
On most Cuckoo Clocks, when the movement on the inside strikes to mark the hour, a cuckoo bird appears out of a door and returns behind the door when the gong or other sound stops. Some clocks may possibly have other animals, trains or men and women that appear to mark the time. Producing Cuckoo Clocks became such a common business that craftsmen would attempt to outdo each other by producing a additional attractive and elaborate clock than their neighbor. Not just the mechanisms of the clocks became much more sophisticated, moving from wood to metal, but also the decorations, which progressed from watercolor paints and square faces to elaborately carved faces painted in rich, bold colors.
Creating Cuckoo Clocks was a cottage industry for many years, but with the move to industrialization across significantly of the world inside the late 1800s, factories began production of the clocks. On the other hand, the families who traditionally produced Cuckoo Clocks were still going powerful. They were so skilled and devoted so much attention to their craft that individual loved ones members had developed their talents to specialize in certain parts of the Cuckoo Clock's production. Some would assemble the gears, whilst others may possibly paint the faces. That's why clocks produced within the old-fashioned way currently are so beautiful and elaborate. Generating Cuckoo Clocks is still an significant component of the Schwarzwald's business these days. Although factories typically produce the gears and other metal parts, the outside of the clocks are still hand-carved and decorated just as they had been over 200 years ago. Common themes of Cuckoo Clocks consist of hunting, loved ones life and also the military, but there are various clocks produced nowadays with any kind of theme you can imagine. Both clocks with standard and whimsical themes could be found on on the internet and quite a few fine examples of "Kuckucksuhren" along with other handmade German folk art.
